In Action

In 2008, Barbara participated in the Association of Fundraising Professionals' (AFP) Faculty Training Academy and became one of 150 individuals worldwide who are certified as an AFP Master Trainer.

Prior to this training, Barbara regularly facilitates workshops for clients and at conferences in North America, Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia.

She has published articles and been included in Fund Raising Management, Fundraising Success, Association Forum, Fund Raising Institute, Advancing Philanthropy and Clout. Her profile can be seen in Entrepreneur Magazine, Today's Chicago Woman, Crain's Chicago Business and Chicago Tribune. Barbara writes regularly for her blog Talisman Thinking Out Loud and email newsletter.

Barbara received the President's Award from the AFP Chicago Chapter. The award is given to a fundraising professional who has demonstrated outstanding service to the chapter and fundraising profession.
