Today I'll be joined by "social architect" Sallomé Hralima, founder of iPromise, an online video campaign that encourages people to commit to fulfilling one action in the calendar year that will affect our society. Using innovative tech-organizing methods, iPromise forwards personal accountability in the nation. The intention is to have everyday people redirect the expectations they have for elected officials, to gain a sense of shared responsibility. I'll also be joined by Ashley Mui, self-proclaimed "moment engineer" and creator of THX2U. THX2U is a gratitude movement intended to inspire creative and thoughtful ways of giving thanks. Through handmade cards, gratitude lists, and gift recycling, participants in THX2U encourage others to give thanks continually.

Since 1989 Community Media Workshop has worked to diversify the voices in news and public debates by providing a unique mix of communications coaching for grassroots, arts and other nonprofit organizations and sourcing grassroots and community news for journalists. Connecting the community with media, the Workshop promotes news that matters in an attempt to ensure a dialogue that portrays society more fully and accurately. Today I'll be joined by Vice President Gordon Mayer.
