In 1988, Barbara founded Talisman Associates, Inc. She had deep fundraising experience from her work at the American Heart Association, Anti-Defamation League and on the campaign trail for local, state and national political candidates.

Barbara is a generalist fundraiser with wide and deep experience that combines focused philanthropic strategy with great results. Her experience includes:

Through her firm Barbara provides hands-on nonprofit management and fundraising consulting.  She brings more than 20 years of experience and best practices. She isn't the consultant who gives her clients homework, she does the work in partnership with staff and leadership. 

Barbara facilitates workshops for nonprofit clients, at international conferences and many association chapters. She is known for her no-nonsense approach to and assessment of nonprofit management, theory and fundraising - all mixed with a great sense of humor.
